A powerhouse collaboration arrives on Defected as Blond:ish, Moby, and Kiko Franco come together for "Natural Blues." A conduit of positivity with many strings to her bow, Blond:ish has emerged as one of this generation’s most acclaimed electronic artists.

From her magical Abracadabra event series and label to launching the non-profit environmental organisation Bye Bye Plastic, to playing the biggest stages around the world like Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Pacha Ibiza’s first-ever headlining female residency in summer 2025, there is nothing Blond:ish can’t do. Blond:ish returns to Defected alongside Moby, one of the world’s most prolific and best-selling artists in dance music history.

Moby randomly called me (I never met him, just idolized him since I was a kid) and asks: "Wanna remix one of my songs?" I’m like, "Any song?!" He’s like, "Yep, pick one." I was with Kiko in Rio, Brazil - so we laid down two ideas in the studio… one felt special and before we knew it, the remix turned into a collab.

The two powerhouses are joined by established Brazilian DJ, producer, and remixer Kiko Franco, who has worked with the likes of Duke Dumont and Vintage Culture, while also lending his sound to chart-topping tracks from Shouse and Zerb.

Blond:ish and I were already talking about working on something together, so I was thrilled when she came to me with the idea of working on "Natural Blues" by Moby. We worked on the track remotely, her in Miami and myself in São Paulo. We went through a couple of drafts and I’m really happy with how it turned out. It perfectly showcases how all of our strong points came together. Blond:ish is a powerhouse and welcomed me with open arms.

"Natural Blues" is the coming together of three experts in their field: Moby’s signature sample-led sound is underpinned by Blond:ish’s upbeat piano patterns and brilliant synth stabs to create a rich house record destined to uplift dancefloors globally this summer. Kiko Franco’s signature touch blends seamlessly into the production, showcasing his distinctive use of melodic leads and Afro House percussion - key elements that maximize pre-drop tension and explode into the vocals and main drop.
