Hailing from Rijeka, Soulfreq has steadily built a name on the underground scene, sharing stages with artists like Kolter, Prunk, M-High, Mihai Popoviciu, Dana Ruh, Mariano Mateljan, and Marko Nastić. Since 2020, he has gained early recognition for his productions and studio talent, releasing on international labels such as Nug-Net, Circa Groove, and Haas Records alongside domestic favorites including Dobar House.

After garnering support from the likes of SIT, Archie Hamilton, and FUSE boss Enzo Siragusa, he now lands a debut appearance on the Siragusa-curated LOCUS as he marks his label debut with a quartet of tracks with "Not So Serious" - showcasing his ability to balance sleek, groove-driven beats with dynamic soundscapes.

The title track, "Not So Serious," kicks off the EP with a vibrant medley of bubbly grooves, rolling basslines, and subtle flourishes, while "Going Down" follows suit, diving deep into a hypnotic, bass-heavy groove. On the flip, "Warpin' Riddim" takes things up a notch, guided by a heady, menacing Reese bassline at its core that showcases his knack for blending various influences and sonics, while "Can't Get Enough" closes the release via skippy percussion, UKG-tinged stabs, and hazy vocal cuts, bringing a final dose of infectious energy for the dancefloor.
