Otun EP by Radeckt
Radeckt returns on Human By Default with the hypnotic double A-side EP, Otun.

Radeckt is a name that is increasingly appearing in the limelight. The Copenhagen-born producer is a clear favourite with Pete Tong, with his last outing on Human By Default picking up multiple spins from the Radio 1 presenter and support from other top-tier tastemakers such as Dixon, Âme and Super Flu. Continuing a superb run of form that includes credits on Ultra and Renaissance and the launch of his own Rendition imprint to a great reception, Radeckt returns to Bedouin's label with the intoxicating "Otun EP."
This EP is all about capturing different moments on the dancefloor. With "Otun," I wanted to capture the feeling of being outside at a festival, where emotional chords build up the tension to the point where it releases and the crowd erupts as it drops, and I think it worked out. "Feel Fine" - the name says it all! I wrote the lyrics and did the vocals myself. The bassline is from the CMI Arturia, driving the whole thing with all those percussive layers, so the groove never stops. Perfect for closing out a warm-up set, setting the mood before things really kick off!

Opener "Otun" is a masterclass in bringing subtle musicality to the dancefloor. The drums roll deep with well-swung hits, and a melange of organic percussion, synth daubs, and sweeping melodies all speak to the soul while building emotional tension. The fantastic "Feel Fine" is another rousing groove with delicate drum patterns and a sprinkling of hits that form the foundation for expressive synth work and tender piano chords. It's an elegant symphony that shows Radeckt's rare studio skill and ability to craft profound house grooves.
