Yaya makes his Sound D'Elite debut with dynamic three-tracker, Respect.

A mainstay of Europe’s house circuit, Italian DJ/producer Yaya brings his unmistakable percussive flair to Ilario Alicante’s Sound D’Elite label for the very first time as the latest name to join the label’s growing family. Landing in June, his latest EP "Respect" features three dynamic cuts, each capturing the artist’s deep-rooted rhythmic instincts and floor-focused sensibilities.

Born and raised in Turin, Yaya’s musical DNA is shaped by his African heritage and the influence of his father’s work as a percussionist, laying the groundwork for a career that has taken him from early drumming performances to the decks of global institutions like Hï Ibiza, Space Miami, and Sunwaves. With releases on influential labels like Desolat and the ever-expanding growth of his own imprint Tamango Records, Yaya has continued to build a sound defined by groove, movement, and bold character.

His Sound D’Elite debut is no exception. The title track, "Respect," hits with a playful attitude - sharp drums and tight low-end, squelchy pressure drive a late-night roller that’s both raw and refined. "Do It" follows with a bouncing arrangement built around pumping kicks, icy hats, and bubbling percussion, while "El Tebo" closes the package with a more a final dash of late-night energy, layered with intricate textures and off-kilter rhythms.

"Respect" marks another impressive addition to Yaya’s catalogue and delivers a powerful introduction to the Sound D’Elite family from a producer who continues to keep dancers moving across continents.
