Tailer EP by +plattform

Norwegian producer +plattform presents four decadent techno cuts on Thomas Urv and Miss Mostly’s PLOINK imprint.

Referring to the four to the floor kick pattern as “a canvas on which to paint”, Oslo-based producer Stian Balducci likes to operate across the boundaries of club-culture, improvisation and contemporary electronic music under various different pseudonyms. He describes his +plattform moniker as an outlet for creating club focused productions, and his techno artistry has led to a medley of releases on Australian imprint Gynoid Audio, with Norway’s PLOINK label next in line.

‘Tailer’ initiates the package at high velocity with undulating kicks and sinister atmospherics that revolve around a melodic 7/4 pattern, meanwhile ‘Flor’ is more understated in nature with its pulsating low end and rattling synths. Crunchy sounds and a dystopian riff then contribute to a menacing tension in ‘Sour’, before concluding the release with a mesmerising voyage in the warped and twisted ‘Gates’.
