The Mixtape EP by Nhii & Jim Rider

After five years of orbiting each other's musical worlds, Germany's Nhii and UK favorite Jim Rider finally come together on "The Mixtape," arriving via KTPM Records on 31st July. Based in Brooklyn, Nhii continues to cultivate a sound defined by boundless musical exploration, shaped via appearances on Kindisch, Stil vor Talent, and Bedouin's Human By Default. 

Meanwhile, UK-based DJ/producer Jim Rider has established himself as one of house music's most consistent melodic voices, with releases on Get Physical, All Day I Dream, VIVa MUSiC, and The Soundgarden, earning support from the likes of Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, Blond, and Sébastien Léger. 

Since 2020, the pair have championed each other's music, shared labels and dancefloors, and grown in parallel, and now, they finally unite in the studio, delivering a long-awaited collaboration of sounds that have naturally evolved alongside one another.

Title track, "The Mixtape" finds the pair meeting at the intersection of driving tech house and melodic sophistication, where Riders' unmistakable knack for tough, percussive grooves locks seamlessly with Nhii's textured, emotionally charged approach. On the flip, Nhii steps out alone with "Sem," shifting into hypnotic indie dance territory, rich in atmosphere and subtle emotion, pairing eerie vocals and warped synths with tracking basslines and crisp, idiosyncratic sonics.
