All Rize by Radio Slave feat. Kameelah Waheed

Radio Slave returns to his seminal Rekids imprint with "All Rize," his first single for the label in 2025, landing in May and featuring a vocal from Kameelah Waheed. The track, which continues Matt Edwards’ tendency to favour longer runtimes, builds the pressure through its excellently looping and evolving elements. 

Kameelah Waheed, a returning featured artist on Rekids with credits on tracks for Terry Farley and Wade Teo, as well as Hilit Kolet, provides an anchor for the journey, leading the dancefloor through a series of instructions with her inimitable voice. Edwards’ Revolution Mix of 'All Rise’ then takes a more soulful approach with jazz-inflected guitar riffs and impassioned bass, completing another must-have package from the unstoppable Radio Slave.

I rarely have the time these days to sit at home and just play around in the studio, and last November I was going through some patches and soft synths and within a few hours I had a sketch for "All Rize." It literally just popped up out of nowhere, and I really hadn’t planned on making the track, but somehow it made sense. I then went on to test it out over Christmas, and I’ve been playing it ever since. With the "Revolution Mix," I decided to break it down and rewire the track into a Detroit meets Prince inspired live jam with Kameelah’s vocals calling us to rise up!

Radio Slave’s Rekids was founded in 2006 and has since spawned successful offshoots with the Techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its newest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been crucial in developing early artist careers and has become a haven for established acts operating in House and adjacent genres, having recently featured the likes of Harry Romero, Tal Fussman, Spencer Parker, The Hacker, and many more.
