Fortune 5 / Modular Tool by Wheats
Box Red founder Wheats returns with more low-end artillery as he drops his heavy two-track EP, Fortune 5 / Modular Tool.

Delivering his blend of glitchy and off-kilter house music via his BOX RED imprint, UK DJ/producer Wheats continues rising as an artist to know across the globe - a case in evidence after recently donning the cover of Mixmag Central America. Having welcomed his first guest artist in Kirik to the label for release #7, he's back operating the controls once again as he delivers two new cuts across his latest EP, "Fortune 5 / Modular Tool," - with early support from Marco Carola, PAWSA and Jamie Jones.
The lead effort "Fortune 5" welcomes a switch up from the usual while keeping those signature Box Red touches, with funky bass grooves led by the commanding, infectious leads and vibrant brass melodies for a resonant affair. On the flip is "Modular Tool," a track created to open up his Warehouse Project set in 2022, which heads down a tunneling and infectious wormhole of warped vocal interjections, skittering electronics, and tough rolling drums for more peak time pandemonium.
