Fast-rising Italian AVG lands on Fiona Kraft's increasingly essential Non Merci Music with the slow-burning, musically rich house anthem for sunny days, It's Time.
Luca Bertolini, aka AVG, is London-based but Italian-born. His characterful take on house ranges from Afro to deep to melodic on influential labels like Defected, Connected and Nervous Records, and he has also collaborated, written and produced with others, including Kitty Amor, Vanco and Parisi. Last year, he dropped a huge tune on Pete Tong's Places & Spaces label, with appearances at Pacha, Phi Beach, and Palm Tree Festival.
His fantastic "It's Time" brings together many different threads - sunny melodies, lush strings, and world-inspired percussion that adds a tropical edge. Soaring vocals and brass horns all build towards a chunky house drop that will get hands in the air, while the deep bassline ensures the low end swaggers.
