Losing Grip EP by Acutek

Acutek's Flick label announces the Losing Grip EP, three raw and hypnotic techno tracks, with a remix by Reset Robot.

The title track of Acutek's "Losing Grip EP" explores the deepest trenches of the earth, cavernous low-end rolling along as liquid sounds drip from the ceiling, hi-hats, and shakers snaking their way through the drums' carefully laid-out crevices. Drumcode, Filth on Acid, and Uncage artist Reset Robot then remix the track, leaving the dark behind for a bright, airy earworm bassline that'll keep your feet tapping in the sunshine as distorted, alien signals mark each phrase.

"Wait A Minute" is next, a loopy slow-burner with subtle changes throughout. It builds up to a release of ecstatic energy before "Doctors Note" picks up speed, its hypnotic, droning vocals crashing onto its ceaseless rhythm. This stellar EP is meant to build the dancefloor late at night or trip them out in the early hours.

"Losing Grip" is the 4th release on Acutek's Flick imprint and the first time another artist is coming on board. Every release on the label to date hit number one on Beatport's Raw/Deep/Hypnotic Techno chart and won support from the likes of DVS1, Charlotte De Witte, ANNA, Ben Sims & Luke Slater.
