Hailing from Ecuador, Carloh's infectious, Latin-infused take on house has landed on labels such as Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, and Desolat whilst picking up support from Marco Carola, LEON, Paco Osuna, and more. Now, Jamie Jones' Hottrax welcomes the South American DJ and producer to the family with his three-track EP, Ritmo Rico.
The "Ritmo Rico" EP is inspired by Colombian flavors and influences, with subtle elements that give it native characteristics that represent both myself and South America. The tracks combine classic house with modern Latin American elements to showcase three versatile dancefloor cuts Carloh
The title track "Ritmo Rico" is a swinging number boasting tumbling percussion, alluring lyrics, and playful keys, before elastic basslines layered under popping hats, claps, and stirring samples take the reigns in "Backlash". To close, the snaking "BBY" serves up convulsing low-ends, graceful pads, and chopped vocals in this slick, rolling cut.
