The Tribalism EP by Pushmann & Fixon

The pair have appeared on many of the same labels, like ANAOH and, of course, Pushmann's N&N. Now, they are finally collaborating on a full EP release via Radio Slave's Rekids Special Projects.

I think Fixon and I have joined forces on these tracks to make techno straight for the dance floor, the days in the studio were brilliant, so we flowed through the funkiest rhythms and voices. In short, the EP touches on hip-hop, jazz, and soul... something very funky is coming...

"The Tribalism EP" by Spain's Pushmann and Mexico's Fixon is a true lesson in groove. Throughout the four-track release, unmistakable influences from hip-hop, Chicago house, funk, and classic techno imbue this release with genuine character. From Tribalism 01 through to 04, the tracks are marked by Latin-American and African percussion, Motor City synth lines, interwoven jazz instrumentation, and vocal hits.

We have known each other for many years, and there has always been mutual respect, thanks to the internet, but without a doubt, working on this EP made us friends, being able to share something as private as the creative processes brings you closer despite of being in 2 different parts of the world, Victor in Spain and me in Mexico.
