John Tejada and Mason Bee introduce a new collaborative single featuring two distinct tracks. Mason Bee, known for his longstanding connection with Warp Legends Plaid, joins Tejada for the first time as a vocalist and lyricist, showcasing his signature melodic guitar style.
This collaboration originated from live performances of Tejada’s album Resound in LA and SF last January, which inspired them to enter the studio together. Both tracks explore the theme of narratives that exist in our minds. "Wake-Up" is a song about time and the moment's beauty, while "Illuminate" examines the subject of thought control and the battle for the human imagination. Previously, the two have made music under the alias "JT and The Bee" on a compilation released by Touched UK.
