A leading figure within today's global electronic landscape, Swiss DJ and producer Andrea Oliva need little introduction as one of the most influential names in the game right now. Fresh from releases via Patrick Topping's Trick and his own All I Need imprint, February sees the house heavyweight head stateside as he makes his first outing on surging label Revival New York with his latest EP, "Zion".
A menacing and lively production merging bumping bass with swirling synths and warped vocals, the title cut "Zion" delivers an energetic ride directly into the peak time as Oliva flexes his musical prowess and authority. Next, "Cyrus" fuses low-slung, sleazy acid lines with cheeky hip-hop style vocals, offering up a dub for those looking to keep the focus on the music, before closing proceedings via the raw sonics and metallic tones of the percussion-driven "Sentinels".
