Baby I Don't Mind by Pegassi
The Antwerp-based talent Pegassi makes his first outing on Patrick Topping's imprint Trick with Baby I Don’t Mind this month.
Belgium's Pegassi has been turning the heads of heavyweights from FISHER to Chris Lake lately through his fusion of trance, techno, and house. His 2022 remix of "No Type" on Zeitgeist has garnered more than three million streams on Spotify, and now he looks to Patrick Topping's unstoppable Trick label for his next sure-fire smash, "Baby I Don't Mind."
With the creation of "Baby I Don't Mind," I aimed to craft a simplistic club track inspired by the music-making techniques of the nineties. I stumbled upon the vocal sample and wanted to incorporate instruments that are each used to their value. By working my usual workflow of trial and error, I crafted a straightforward techno track with a crisp groove and many different focal points.
