Bråvalla Festival: A new festival in Sweden
Bråvalla Festival, a new Swedish festival placed on an old military airfield on the outskirts of a town called Norrköping. Exciting artists combined with a stunning city.

Bråvalla Festival is a new Swedish festival placed on an old military airfield on the outskirts of a town called Norrköping. The city is situated by the mouth of the river Motala ström at Bråviken, an inlet of the Baltic Sea. Water power from the Motala ström and the good harbor facilitated the rapid growth of this once-industrial city known for its textile industry. It has several nicknames, and the more famous ones are Sweden's Manchester and Peking.
The city has a large musical and theatre heritage as well as the previously mentioned industrial past as well as the birthplace of a Noble Prize winner in Physics and a double Olympic gold medallist in Alpine skiing, so it has the heritage and pedigree for sure.
The Festival
The Bråvalla Festival is aptly named after the airfield on which it will be held. The airfield is also known locally by its military code, F13, but it has been closed for a number of years. So this could very well be a new beginning of a great tradition. The festival is organized by FKP Scorpio Sweden, which also organizes the Getaway Rock Festival, the Hultsfred Festival, and other concerts all year round.
