Breathe (Rocco Rodamaal Remixes) by Fred Everything & James Alexander Bright

With new remixes from Rocco Rodamaal, Breathe is the second single from Fred Everything's album Love, Care, Kindness & Hope, featuring UK singer/songwriter James Alexander Bright.

The original connection came from a Groove Armada song that Fred remixed (Talk Talk), which featured James on vocals. James is known for his work on !K7 and, more recently, his new album on Athens Of The North. "Breathe" was built around a shuffly broken beat, a driving bass line, and deep chords. The track also features Wayne Tennant on backing vocals and Pete Whitfield on Strings. Colleen "Cosmo" Murphy championed the original on her Balearic Breakfast show, and it was supported by Black Coffee, Jazzanova, Peter Kruder, and Rainer Trueby.

We start with two new unreleased versions based on the original. The Lazy Extended Vox, a longer, more stripped-down version of the original for the dance floor, and the obligatory Lazy Dub. On remix duty, we brought in our good friend Rocco Rodamaal. He made the track shine with his trademark "straight-to-the-point" groove, taking the tune in a new direction with none less than five mixes! On top of running his own "Memories" label out of Lyon, he's been busy with original music for Laurent Garnier's QR label as well as new remixes for Louie Vega, which is coming soon.
