Carbon Towers EP by Operator
The artist Operator joins Ben Sims' Symbolism label with the heavy and slightly sinister Carbon Towers EP.

A mainstay of the Mord label in recent years, Operator's debut four-track EP for Symbolism takes in peak time panel-beaters, a warm chord-driven groover, and sinister broken beats.
The title track’s concentrated soundscapes make for an imposing opener, but one that uses its density to maximum effect, particularly in its memorable breakdown. The track "Surface Shimmer" lush keys and crisp, almost sharp, drums follow in classy style while the cinematic and decidedly noir tone of "The Hanging Edge" counterpoints intricate percussion and a broken groove before the moody power of "The Hidden" rounds out the EP.
