Conditions by Juan Diazo

Based in Cartagena, Colombia, Juan Diazo is an in-demand ghost producer but also a solo artist who cooks up all forms of house music. The Demos Imus Records head has released his sounds on the likes of Senssual Records, Miami 305, and World Sound Recordings, and mixes expert sound design with fresh arrangements to ensure every tune cuts through.

His latest is the excellent "Conditions," a densely textured, high-pressure house cut driven by vamping chords and tightly coiled drums. It rolls like an oncoming tsunami with sweeping filters and precision builds that ratchet up the tension as sultry, half-whispered vocals weave through the groove to bring a sensual edge. After a spine-tingling breakdown, thunderous drums and cosmic FX push into interstellar territory and sweat-soaked release.
