Loud Jam by Javier Carballo presents TERMS
The Spanish groove maker that is Javier Carballo is next up on Play It Say It with four of his fantastic, club-ready weapons under his TERMS guise.

London based Carballo makes perfectly distilled tracks that have come on labels like Underyourseat, Hector's Vatos Locos and Blind Vision Records. He has been doing so for ten years now and counts Seth Troxler, Raresh and Apollonia as fans. His TERMS project started in 2013 while he lived in Berlin and is an alter ego that balances dark techno with real atmosphere and freaky sound designs, taking cues from the history of Chicago, Detroit and Berlin with elements of electro, breaks and minimal. Sophisticated yet accessible, he has played key clubs like fabric, Cocoon, and Watergate and this latest is another fine release that explores a range of different sounds.
Opener "Loud Jam" transmits real emotions from the off with its funky, punchy drum programming and fresh hits. Part electro, part techno, it's high-class body music while the superb "Haggerstation" sinks into a deeper, more streamlined acidic groove. The 303s wriggle away as metallic drum sounds and glitches bring texture to this subtle backroom bomb.
Switching up the mood yet again, "Lost Time" is a sublime bit of minimal house with brain-frying synths and deft little details that flesh out the smooth rubber drums. Lastly, "London" brings real chunky drum goodness, with big rolling kicks and a knotted bassline pumping the party as swirling sci-fi pads bring the atmosphere.
