If you've never been to Mayday in Dortmund, Germany then you definitely should. In 2025 Mayday is celebrating 33 years and the show will be out of this world.

Berlin 33 years ago: The youth radio station "DT64" - one of the first stations to play techno - is on the brink of extinction. Mayday is supposed to provide support. On 14 December 1991, 6,000 people euphorically celebrated a new sound. Hardly anyone suspects what was to develop from it.

It is an integral part of the techno and rave scene in Germany. Mayday is a circle of friends covering all sorts of styles. Mayday is a promise: be open, and you'll find friendships. Be warm-hearted, and you’ll be a part of the community. Remember: the best way to find a friend is to be one yourself.

Today, in 2025, Mayday celebrates 33 years. Mayday has always stood for progress, innovation, and change. Forward ever, backward never.
