Melanie Ribbe unveils the "Phoenix" LP, releasing via her Agape Muzik label this month. The album, which marks her second full-length release, follows her 2021 "Dance Again" LP on the label and consists of twelve tracks ranging from Minimal through to Deep Tech and House.

The "Phoenix" LP starts with "All Night," where Melanie Ribbe combines swinging organic rhythms with heartfelt keys and an evocative vocal to match. It's an album filled to the brim with feeling, and while introspective, firmly at home in the club via cuts like "Lolita" and its earworm hip-hop vocal and hard-hitting drums. The recently released single "Strictly Rhythm" treads darker notes with a deep and driving bassline, followed by the rave-influenced "Resilience" and "Treblesome," again reaching for the light with the passionate "For You" and groove-laden "Mamaia."

This album is about embracing the darkness to find the light. It's about transformation, healing, and the unwavering human spirit.

Alongside Melanie Ribbe's own performances across the album, she is also joined by vocalist Javi Jamasmie. Tripped-out percussion and subtle glitches support her warm lyrics in "Elevate Your Soul," inviting listeners to lose all inhibition before "Evolution," in which tight House drums and soft synth sequences accompany spoken word vocals that switch between English and Spanish. Club cut "Tonight" then sees Jamasmie recount tales from the Ibizan dancefloors alongside a robotic male vocal and plenty more signature hypnotic touches.

Active since 2014, German-born, Jamaica-raised artist Melanie Ribbe has had residencies at Amnesia and Cova Santa in Ibiza while having her own radio show on Ibiza Global Radio, "Groovenation." Now, she holds a successful party residency in D-Edge São Paulo called "Unlocked." Having taken over stages at notable places like Fabrik Madrid, Space Miami, Ultra Music Festival, A Summer Story, Sunwaves Festival, We Are Festival, and Lollapalooza. She's released music on labels such as Saved, Circus, Moon Harbour, Viva Limited, Mindshake, Elrow, and Drumcode, and she founded her Agape Muzik label in 2020. She now releases the "Phoenix" album on the latter, which has already received support from the Martinez Brothers, Jamie Jones, Paco Osuna, Nic Fanciulli, and more.

"Phoenix" by Melanie Ribbe is an uplifting and transformative album that tells a deeply personal story of resilience and triumph through the universal language of electronic music grooves.
