Mulliner presents Bentley Extraordinary Journeys Edition

Bentley's bespoke studio, Mulliner, has curated a limited-edition series of Bentayga SUVs inspired by invigorating travel, nature, and well-being. The Extraordinary Journeys Collection takes its lead from ‘Extraordinary Journeys' - a series of curated global travel experiences designed to provide once-in-a-lifetime road trips, offering exclusive access to the very best of local cuisine, design, architecture, and wellness.     

The specialty travel series takes customers across the globe with a new calendar of destinations announced yearly. Demonstrating the breadth of possibility, the Mulliner Studio has creatively conjured the spirit of a selection of the destinations and travel experiences guests on the Extraordinary Journeys encountered. Whether the journey took you to the mountains, lakes, desert, or snow, the designers have used materials, colors, finishes, and unique details to produce this travel-inspired collection to infuse a sense of adventure into your everyday drive.  The collection comprises of five refined, characterful, and tranquil individual journeys: New Mexico, Scandinavia, China, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

New Mexico represents ruggedness and reverence, connecting to the ancient world and a refuge from everyday hustle and bustle. This Bentayga is presented in warm browns and tans, Amber over Burnt Oak duo-tone paintwork, and body-colored wheels, with a tailored palette of Saddle, Camel, and Coral inside and Copper Stone veneer. These tones are associated with the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the vivid canyons and ancient rock formations through which Bentley leads its clients on an Extraordinary Journey toward Santa Fe.

Scandinavia fosters a gratitude for natural beauty and ecological sensitivity. This car combines Portofino blue exterior paint and Dark Sapphire wheels with Mulliner White main hide, Imperial Blue secondary hide, light blue Stratos accents, and contrast stitching. Additionally, a Slate Stone open-pore veneer brings to mind crystal clear fjords, seafaring tales, and the astounding sustainable architecture, wellness spas, and lagom lifestyle encountered on Bentley's five-day itinerary across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

China emotively represents serenity and relaxation through the forces of nature, and this Bentayga comes in Arabica exterior paint with Pale Brodgar silver wheels and an interior rendered in Linen-coloured hide with Burnt Oak, Odyssean tweed accents, Gold Greenstone veneer, and Piano Burnt Oak veneer to the center console. It is inspired by the northwest of this vast country, where Bentley's four-day Extraordinary Journey spans the Helan Mountains, the Alashan Gobi, the Yellow River, and the towering dunes of the Tengri desert.

New Zealand speaks of awe and tranquillity and the spirit of adventure. Reminiscent of the majestic Milford Sound and historic gold mines, the New Zealand edition is painted in White Sand with Pale Brodgar silver wheels, with a brown and grey interior dominated by Portland main hide and secondary Burnt Oak, along with Highland Hare accents, dark green and bronze contrast stitching, and Jeera Green Stone veneer. The colors and materials combine to transport the occupants on Bentley's Extraordinary Journey to the South Island, driving through the Ahuriri Valley, gazing across Lake Tekapo and to the soaring Southern Alps, stargazing, and feasting on New Zealand's celebrated gastronomy and viticulture.

Representing tradition and reflection and celebrating the wilderness and true escapism, the UK-inspired car receives Alpine Green satin paint and Grey satin wheels, and a selection of greens on the inside, dominated by British Racing Green - evocative of Bentley's winning heritage in endurance racing and the rakish Bentley Boys who brought about those hard-fought victories - and also Cumbrian Green, which brings to mind the Lake District. This is one of the areas through which the UK Extraordinary Journey passes on its way from Crewe to the moody valleys of Scotland's Cairngorms and towards The Macallan whiskey distillery in Speyside.
