Overpowering Space by Sofiget
Sofiget releases her Overpowering Space on Lorenzo Dada's Electronic Music Division this month.
Run by Lorenzo Dada, Electronic Music Division is the record label of Centro Studi Musical Roma, a music academy in Rome founded in 1983. For Sofiget's debut release on the label, and her first release overall, the Italian DJ/producer delivers a varied three-track EP exploring her influences in minimal, microhouse, and beyond.
"Lev" leads the release with hypnotic synths and bouncing basslines entangled around a pulsing 4/4 rhythm. "Perpetual" sees Sofiget drawing for dense soundscapes, eerie pads, and rolling percussion for a deep and trippy track, before closing cut "Vagamonde" brings syncopated kick drums, dubbed-out bongos, and sizzling hats to round out the release.
