Tribal Badman by Ben Sterling
Planet X boss Ben Sterling returns to the label for the new single, Tribal Badman.

Continuing to evolve beyond early tips into an artist with his own distinct sound and style, it’s safe to say Ben Sterling is in the groove more so than ever, having started 2024 with a wealth of landmark debuts, including Coachella, while also taking his Planet X project back to Miami during MMW for a standout showcase to stamp its global prominence further. Returning to the label for the first time since the release of "Lost Illusions" last year, the imprint head honcho follows up a series of diverse projects and reworks with another standout record with the release of "Tribal Badman."
Influenced by US house of the 90s and early 00s, in particular, the catalog of Subliminal Records - Sterling’s first London show was a Subliminal Sessions date at Ministry Of Sound aged just 18 - the record brings a special touch, having been mixed and mastered by label mainstay Harry Romero.
Built on a slick, rolling groove and reinforced by skippy drums, a pulsing bassline with infectious vocal calls and chants throughout, "Tribal Badman" brings another melting pot of electronic influences to the fore and serves up yet more dancefloor-driven material from Sterling to soundtrack the summer.
