Crazy High by Calvin Clarke

Calvin Clarke drops his debut two-tracker, Crazy High, on Hottrax this month.

Following releases on Kaluki Musik and Bamboleo, Manchester's Calvin Clarke has picked up support from Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, and Jamie Jones, to name a few. Recently becoming a resident at Music on, Calvin has also found himself playing sets at the likes of Parklife, Fabric, Elrow, and many more.

From the driven basslines & percussive grooves, I felt that both tracks go hand in hand to be the perfect combo for a two-track EP on a label that has been a goal of mine for quite some time.

For the artist's first release on Hottrax, Calvin delivers a grooving two-tracker for Jamie Jones' label. "Crazy High" marries bumping low-end and subtle synthesis amongst rolling percussion and vocal slices, while "Apollo" brings tweaked-out leads and wonky FX to round out the release.
