Defected back in the USA

Following their triumphant return stateside last November after a five-year hiatus, Defected head to the USA to bring one of the world’s most established and long-running house music labels to some of the USA’s hottest clubs for a four-date tour. Stopping in Washington DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Chicago, labelmates Riva Starr and Ferreck Dawn will be bringing their signature sound across the pond, with NYC DJ Ant LaRock joining them on two of the dates.
 
Kicking off the tour at Ustreet Hall in Washington DC, an intimate 500 capacity venue with one of the city’s best sound systems, the crew will then head to warehouse-style venue Halcyon in San Francisco, an unmissable after-dark location where some truly memorable moments were created during last year’s tour.

Up next they head south to Los Angeles venue Sound, which saw an incredible sold-out show on last November’s tour. Rounding off the trip Riva and Ferreck will return to legendary Chicago club Smartbar, described as “the beating heart of the city’s music scene,” and one of Chi Town’s best-loved venues.
 
Following a string of huge releases on the label such as ‘In Arms’, ‘In My Arms’ and ‘Selfish Games’, Ferreck has become a core member of the Defected family, joining forces with house titan Riva Starr, a regular at Defected parties and long-time friend of the label, these two artists showcase some of Defected’s freshest talent and will deliver the label’s signature sound to some of the USA’s best venues. 
 
Celebrating 20 years of the label and everything there is to love about house music, Defected kicked off 2019 with a series of special events and announcements. On Friday, 4th January 2019, BBC Radio 1 broadcast the year's first Essential Mix, an extra special ‘Influences Essential Mix’ by Simon Dunmore that provided, in Simon’s own words, “an insight into the music I love and that continues to influence everything we aspire to achieve at Defected Records, as we celebrate 20 years in the house!”

Defected London FSTVL, a debut one-day 5-stage event with 12,000 attendees took place in September and completed a jam-packed summer diary of two concurrent Ibiza seasons, worldwide tours and the fourth annual Defected Croatia festival. Building on the runaway success of recent sell-out shows at Ministry of Sound, Studio 338 and Printworks, some of which dates sold out in less than half an hour, the 10,000+ capacity festival was the natural next step for Defected’s events in London. 

Meanwhile, the quality house releases keep coming from all the labels, with new music from Jamie Jones, Darius Syrossian, Purple Disco Machine, Honey Dijon, Roberto Surace and many more.
