(Hey You) What's That Sound by Ben Sterling feat. Les Rythmes Digitales
Ben Sterling unveils 2024 flip on Les Rythmes Digitales, (Hey You) What's That Sound, on [PIAS] Electronique.

A highlight of Stuart Price's 1999 LP "Darkdancer" as Les Rythmes Digitales,"(Hey You) What's That Sound" emerged as a stand-out example of future-focused electro-pop when originally released. Thump included the album in their 99 Greatest Dance Albums of All Time. Reissued in 2005, the track is now transported forward two decades and given a powerful modern re-rub by Planet X founder Ben Sterling for a special 2024 flip.
Known for his diverse sound, which takes classic influences and pays homage to various eras of electronic music while championing a distinctly new school approach to house music, Sterling has quickly become a name in demand with respect from global heavyweights. This latest outing is a testament to his ability to merge past, present, and future as he makes his label debut on [PIAS] Electronique in May.
Harnessing the production's vocals and weaving them amongst rolling percussion arrangements, zipping synths, and snaking bass grooves, Sterling's remix ups the energy levels to transport the production to the heart of the dancefloor, showcasing exactly why the track has been a go-to record in his sets of late.
