Higher by Mius
Higher is the second single taken from Hungarian artist Mïus's upcoming long-player, How To.
Gergely Álmos is a prolific producer with a wide range of styles in his arsenal. He has showcased them with his mesmeric live shows all over the world as well as on his own Théque label. Across previous full-lengths such as Lost Adam in late 2017, Eigengrau in 2016 on Sonar Kollektiv, Twenty-two 22 in 2018, and Études de Battement in 2020, Álmos has explored a variety of musical themes. The new album is a Hungarian-Polish collaboration between Gergely and singer Raf Skowroński, who also features on this single.
There is a pulsing electronic beat underlining "Higher" that lifts you off your feet. The accompanying synths are lush and suspensory. The piano chords are like a heartbeat hurried by a moment of passion and the tender vocals only heighten that romantic feeling. It all adds up to a gorgeous track that makes a lasting emotional impression.
