Berlin 30 years ago: The youth radio station "DT64" - one of the first stations to play techno - is on the brink of extinction. Mayday is supposed to provide support. 6,000 people euphorically celebrate a new sound on 14th December 1991. Hardly anyone suspects what was to develop from it.
It is an integral part of the techno and rave scene in Germany. Mayday is a circle of friends covering all sorts of styles. Mayday is a promise: be open and you'll find friendships. Be warm-hearted and you’ll be a part of the community. Simply keep in mind: the best way to find a friend is to be one yourself.
Today, in 2022, Mayday celebrates 30 years. Mayday has always stood for progress, innovation, and change. Forward ever, backward never.
