An individual on an impressive upward curve within the US techno landscape, LA-based DJ/producer Shay de Castro rightly has a wealth of eyes tracking her journey as she continues her emergence. From essential tracks in rotation for Drumcode boss Adam Beyer or EXHALE figurehead Amelie Lens, through to impressive sets at the likes of Exchange in her adopted home city through to Sisyphos in Berlin, she now looks to step things up another notch on her return to Factory 93 as she reveals her latest single, "Momento," hot on the heels of her recent NYC appearance alongside Space 92.
Commanding, impactful, and imposing from the off due to its heavy kicks, "Momento" is a production made for big moments. It offers pockets of melody and hypnotic sonics as sweeping synths, spiraling leads, and atmospheric builds combine for a striking effort.
