Neon Nights EP by Angelos

Angelos has risen through his local scene to be now an internationally renowned talent who has collaborated with the likes of Black Coffee on his Grammy-winning 2021 album, has landed regularly on Nic Fanciuli's imprint Saved, Armada, Higher Ground and long-time collaborator King Street, and serves up quarterly DJ mixes for Spotify and Apple Music. His joyous and lush sound has landed him a DJ residency at Blue Marlin Ibiza as well as gigs all over the world.

He shows his meticulous craft here with "Nocturnal Dance," which is deep but edgy thanks to the gritty synth stabs. A smooth vocal brings the soul and a hint of menace as the Afro drums march onwards. The title track, "Neon Nights," is another sublime soundscape with well-designed drums and a more intense and layered feel. The distant vocals ring above serene synths, and percussive details add extra bite as the groove grows. It's a melodic masterclass to hypnotize the floor.
