Luke Jacobsen, the man behind Tobehonest, is quickly rising through the ranks, having made his mark in his native Los Angeles. He brings plenty of Latin flair and European groove to his productions, with releases on Lee Foss's other labels, South of Saturn and Repopulate Mars, and Sink or Swim. He impresses again here with another adventurous and blissed-out trip.
The irresistibly summery "Perfect" combines various sounds - tech house, R&B, and soul. It's a multi-faceted arrangement with heart-melting Balearic guitar chords that sit next to swirling and sun-kissed pads, aching vocal samples, and a golden neo-soul breakdown.
