Snowbombing announces more acts for 2015
The line-up for Snowbombing 2015 expands to welcome another wave of acts to the already jam-packed bill including Carl Craig, Andy C, Idris Elba, Waze and Odyssey, and more.
The new acts will join headliners including Skrillex, Fatboy Slim and Rudimental for the sixteenth edition of Europe’s largest, longest standing and most unique snow and music festival, taking place from 6th-11th April, 2015, in the snowy alpine town of Mayrhofen, Austria.
Widely recognised as one of the most important and forward thinking names in techno, the legendary Carl Craig has been moving dance floors across the world for over twenty years. Carl Craig will make his Snowbombing debut and will undoubtedly wow Snowbombing with one of his unforgettable sets.
Drum and Bass heavyweight and Snowbombing favourite Andy C also joins the line-up. Internationally renowned as one of the greatest drum and bass DJs in the world, Andy C will play a marathon six hour set in Snowbombing’s headline venue, the Racket Club.
Joining them will be actor- producer- rapper- DJ Idris Elba. Best known for his role as troubled detective ‘Luther’ and Russell Bell in ‘The Wire’ however, Elba has been spinning records long before his acting days. With a bag packed with funk, soul and disco classics, his set is sure to get Snowbombing dancing.
London house production and DJ duo Waze and Odyssey are also confirmed. Known for their chart-topping rework of R Kelly's 1994 R&B classic Bump n' Grind, Faze and Odyssey have notched up an impressive list of accolades in the short time they’ve been together and have excited crowds around the globe with their DJ sets.
We Love residents Bonar Bradberry and Tom Thorpe better known as PBR STREETGANG are also confirmed and return to Snowbombing for a second year running. They will be joined by Snowbombing residents and purveyors of all things silly, The Cuban Brothers.
Completing the bill is house music’s latest boy wonder Citizen, Belfast’s finest genre blender Ejeca, Amsterdam’s finest Job Jobse, Dirty Bird co-founder Justin Martin, Hotlflush boys Dense and Pika, drum and bass and jungle favourite Randall, Bristol heavyweight Artifact and London based production duo Wayward.
With mountains as a perimeter fence 2,000 metres above sea level and boasting some of the most awe inspiring festival venues in the world, including a sky-high igloo, enchanted forest clearings, cosy alpine lodges and medieval barns, Snowbombing is a festival experience like no other.
So if dancing the night away to a picturesque alpine backdrop, listening to some of the world’s most groundbreaking music acts, relaxing in a luxury spa or just skiing on the fresh white snow appeals, then join Snowbombing for what’s set to be the most incredible year yet.
