One of the few artists to have appeared on the full range of Ben Sims' labels over the past few years, Greek artist George Tounisidis returns to the British techno legend's longest-running imprint with the "That Green is Getting Me High EP" on Hardgroove this month.
From the skipping, low-end funk of "Never is Now" to the scraping leads and atonal thump "Ascetic", Tounisidis' latest gets steadily tougher as it develops whilst maintaining a sense of lightness throughout. When things get a little tougher in the title track and the distortion-kissed closer, "It's Not Over", it's subtle vocals that offset the machines and elevate the cuts.
