Rafael & Sapian unveil What What, the second release on OMRI.'s Collecting Dots Records.

What What with Rafael & Sapian Art by Collecting Dots Records

Following the resounding success of its debut release, Tel Aviv-born artist OMRI. (pronounced OMRI dot) continues to build momentum for his newly launched label, Collecting Dots Records, with its sophomore release. After an explosive start with OMRI.'s own "Mission Impossible," - a track that garnered major support from Solomun, Adriatique, Chloé Caillet, AMÉMÉ, and Camelphat, and received BBC Radio 1 airplay from Pete Tong - Collecting Dots Records swiftly introduces Rafael & Sapian. Two of Israel's most exciting rising talents, the pair unite for "What What" - a track that encapsulates the underground energy and forward-thinking sound that Collecting Dots Records is championing.

We keep it raw. In just a few hours, exactly one year before the release, "What What" came to life - a funky groove fueled by a rumbling bass guitar, sharp trumpet stabs, and a hypnotic looping hook: "what what." No overthinking, just pure energy and instinct, locking into a vibe that hits right.
Rafael & Sapian

Vibrant and bumping, "What What" delivers an intoxicating blend of trippy vocals, rolling basslines, hypnotic lead brass melodies, and an undeniable groove. It is a track designed for peak-time dancefloor moments. Tel Aviv's Rafael is gaining a reputation for crafting infectious grooves, and his music is finding favor with industry heavyweights like Michael Bibi, Diplo, The Martinez Brothers, Gorgon City, and more.

His recent material includes remixing Jamie Jones and Miluhska with Adam Ten and remixing Mita Gami. Meanwhile, Sapian is emerging as one of Israel's most talked-about new names. A fresh but formidable force in electronic music, the young talent has already made waves with releases on Solomun's Diynamic, Maccabi House, and CUFF, receiving support from Nic Fanciulli, Seth Troxler, and Dom Dolla.

With its second release, Collecting Dots Records further solidifies its commitment to pushing innovative, dancefloor-ready sounds. Founded on the idea of creative freedom and artistic evolution, the label is set to become a home for established and emerging talents who share its founder's ethos and want to make a lasting impact on the scene.
