Activity FM presents AFM002

Activity FM returns with their second expertly curated V/A release, bringing together another talent-laden batch of international producers.

AFM002 unites four unique artists with their distinct touch on the electro sound that showcases the diversity and creative potential of the genre with a release that is fully primed for the club floor.

Opening the release is AMX, the Detroit-based artist whose precise and soulful production carries the unmistakable touch of her city’s legacy. "Out My Mind" is hallmarked by a refined and futuristic edge, with an ice-cool vocal hook running across ceiling shaking sub bass. A rising force on the global techno community, AMX has released on Tresor, Deeptrax, and International Chrome.

Next up is Exzakt, aka Larry McCormick, a long-standing pioneer of the electro movement coming right out of Florida with a discography that spans Monotone, Omnidisc, and Tresor. His track "Fvck That Sh1t" is a peak-time weapon boosted off larger-than-life rolling bass and all-sirens-blazing energy.

Heading into the second half of the EP, London-based ARA-U steps up with a thundering old school flavoured track "Feels Like Dancing" stacked with analog machine funk warmth. A veteran of the Venezuelan underground electro scene and head of No Static / Automatic, ARA-U’s unique touch is consistently gritty and machine-driven.

Closing the EP is Barcelona-based Phran with "Archivo Criminal" - keeping the energy moving with a jumping and playful offering that draws us into deeper head down territory with its deft synth work. Venezuelan-born Phran runs Vimana and co-manages ACA alongside NAP, and is also known for his collab Dos Ritmos with Luca Lozano releasing on Klasse Wrecks Hivern Discs, Paralaxe Editions and more.
