Animal Remixes with Jorkes

Vienna-based Jorkes is one of the underground's most unique house and disco innovators thanks to a series of standout releases on their own Freeride Millenium label as well as Live At Robert Johnson, Aus, Permanent Vacation and more. The Animal EP from earlier this year perfectly exemplified their sensuous and erotic style and now the three tracks get reworked by a set of top contemporary talents. The original artwork and photography for the release is by Daniel Rajcsanyi, with additional typography and reframing by Studio Mizuiro.

Greek-born and Freeride Millenium regular NIKKNAME is first. From deepest house to melancholic ambient via moody disco, he has explored a wide array of styles. He flips "Hot" into a sizzling electro-disco pumper lit up by rugged synth arps and libidinous vocal sounds, finishing it with a passionate edge.

Delicate Features is the moniker of composer Pavel Diakov and vocalist Radmila Nikogosian, a duo who make immersive soundscapes and have released on Freeride Millenium as well as Cellar Tapes and Not Not Fun Records. Their remix of "Garden Of Lust" is replete with soft and silky chords adding a diffuse glow to the 80s disco beats while whispered vocals make things intimate.

Last of all comes Irish-born artist, Permanent Vacation associate, and audio engineer Sara Miller. She is a regular at Berlin's most cult clubs and runs her own well-regarded Naive Melodies events in the city. Her Glitter Mix of "Animal" is a full-throttle house track with warm kick drums and glistening, pixelated melodies, adding sugary disco stylings up top.
