Defected In The House is back

As part of its 25th-anniversary celebrations, Defected announces the relaunch of its iconic In The House, with TSHA the first artist to contribute to the new era of the series. Previously a legendary CD and digital mix compilation series, the reinvention of In The House for 2024 will feature premium live-stream sets via YouTube and DJ mixes available on Apple Music from the upper echelons of dance music.

With previous contributors including Loco Dice, Gilles Peterson, Sam Divine, Masters at Work, Danny Krivit, Kevin Saunderson, Jazzy Jeff, and Dennis Ferrer, Defected will continue to spotlight the biggest names in house in this next phase of In The House. The relaunch of the series will also make the entire back catalog available exclusively via Apple Music, allowing a new generation of house music fans to discover a rich catalog of mixed gems.

Defected In The House; is A legendary DJ mix compilation series that became a firm favorite for house music fans globally. The releases became a calling card for quality house music. Reliable, interesting, exciting mixes of forthcoming and contemporary house that you were or soon would be hearing in clubs. They were always the most exciting projects to work. Getting a look at the licensing wish lists in advance would always raise excitement and eyebrows in equal measure and the first draft mixes were always big deals and moments for the office stereo. Sadly, with the rise of streaming, the end was in sight for the trusted CD compilation and, later, the download format, so In The House as a series faded away. Now as part of our ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations and using that same nothing but quality house music philosophy, In The House is back. This time fresh and established house music DJs deliver mixes as very special continuous mix streams, each recorded and filmed in unique locations.

Launched on Thursday, 2nd May at 7 pm, Defected presents TSHA In The House, premiered via Youtube with a special set recorded from a yacht in Ibiza in April this year. During the stream, TSHA teased her forthcoming Defected debut, a remix of the 2000 classic "Sunday Shoutin'" by Johnny Corporate (release date: 7th June). Releasing as part of the Together series, a 25th-anniversary activation from the label that has seen collaborations from artists of the label's rich history and stars of the future, TSHA revisits one of Defected's most beloved catalog gems for her contribution.
