Dreaming with Leo Janeiro
Heattraxx welcomes Leo Janeiro for his new EP Dreaming, including remixes from DJ Merci and Simon Shaw.
With over 25 years of influence in the Brazilian electronic music scene, Leo Janeiro has left an indelible mark with residencies at iconic venues such as Warung Beach Club, D-Edge's Freak Chic, and Beehive Club, showcasing his eclectic blend of deep, soul, funky, and disco influences. Fresh from his stellar b2b with label boss The Check Up during Heattraxx's tenth-anniversary celebration at Watergate in Berlin, the Rio de Janeiro mainstay unveils "Dreaming" - a sun-drenched release on the exciting imprint, enriched by remixes from DJ Merci and Simon Shaw who each bring their own distinctive flavor to the table.
Blending rich textures and attention-grabbing builds, "Dreaming" whisks listeners away to a realm of soulful bliss, where its timeless charm creates the perfect backdrop for a warm and nostalgic summertime beat. Back on Heattraxx, DJ Merci offers a jackin house twist, boosting the bass with a thumping groove and blending more funk-infused rhythms. Closing the package, London-based Simon Shaw takes a bold turn, exploring late-night territories with hypnotic leads, deep kicks, and quirky synths to deliver another standout remix.
