Electric Wire Hustle drop a brand new teaser to entice fans ahead of the release of their forthcoming Love Can Prevail LP, due out on September 8th via Okayplayer Records / Somethinksounds.
Love Can Prevail is the highly-anticipated follow-up to the duo’s critically-acclaimed self-titled 2010 debut, which thrust the group into the international spotlight and achieved cult status following its release. Okayplayer Records and Somethinksounds join forces to present the forthcoming project, which will be supported by two EP’s and a host of remixes that are slated to be released throughout the summer.
The band have been away refining their sound and the result of their 5 year hiatus is the stunning “Love Will Prevail”, an album highly capable of connecting with a broader audience as its consistent and refined track list displays the warm organic growth that one associates with some of the most prolific international artists.
The 10-track LP is a mash of classic soul and futuristic sounds anchored by dynamic lyricism and a degree of musicianship that will only help to cement the project as a sonic tour de force. The band’s These Are The Last Days EP will arrive ahead of the forthcoming album on June 2nd with remixes from Flako and Eliphino.
Upping the ante, Electric Wire Hustle will also embark upon a series of U.S. tour dates in support of the release, which marks the end of their four-year hiatus, with stops in New York, San Francisco and a standing date with Questlove at The Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on May 31st.
