Goosey is Restless

Goosey draws heavily from the Ibiza institution that is DC10. His unique take on underground house music has quickly found favor, with high-profile artists such as Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, and Joseph Capriati supporting his work. He is one of the breakout names of 2023, taking his forward-thinking sounds to labels like CUFF and BINARY, with this new release another big step in his career.

For the a-side "Restless," Goosey looks to the deep house sound of 2012 - big bouncy basslines, repetitive hypnotic vocals, and lots of tension on the breaks. He adds extra club focus with his take on the style so the drums hit hard and the warped bass never lets up. Adding in an alluring female vocal with plenty of attitude, you have a surefire winner.

The superb b-side tune "Time" all started with the vocal line and has already been played by Jamie Jones in Ibiza to a great reception. "I heard the vocal and immediately knew there was something special about it," Goosey says of the writing process, adding it is a tune very much made with Jones's Paradise parties in mind. "He often plays some quite deep stuff towards the end of the night, and for me personally, it's always those tracks that I really come away remembering."

"Time" is a dark and sensual cut with melancholic chords and vast bass enveloping the crisp tech drums. The vocal is erotic and brings sensuality to the physical drums in a way that is sure to blow up the club.
