Haunted by Jabe feat. LOV
Young French talent Jabe serves up a superb debut single, Haunted, on Fiona Kraft's Non Merci Music.

Jabe hails from Lyon, France, and came onto Fiona Kraft's radar after warming up for her back in the summer. The pair connected over music, and now he is beginning his production journey with this debut single. It comes after many years of DJing and growing up with a father who loves all forms of electronic music, from Jeff Mills' techno to Kerri Chandler's house. He runs his own event series, Kalao, and is a key player in his native scene. He is now set to make a mark on the wider underground circuit.
Featured guest LOV is a London-based Italian who is an increasingly prominent vocal talent. She has lent her soulful tones to tracks on labels like the legendary Nervous Records and, like Jabe, is set to release more on this label in the future.
The spine-tingling "Haunted" is a vast, cavernous, deep house sound with inviting mid-tempo drums and dubby, heavyweight kicks. Deft synths pan about the mix and slowly but surely build the tension as hints of vocal drift up through the groove. As they grow louder, LOV's soulful tones light up the track amongst subtle cosmic pads, and the whole thing casts a dramatic and emotional spell.
