Mr. Machine EP by Javonntte

Detroit's Javonntte readies the six-track Mr. Machine EP for Coloring Lessons Records.

Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Javonntte Garrett has been producing music and DJing since the early 1990s, working with legendary producers Blake Baxter, Amp Fiddler, and Dez Andres throughout the years. Garrett has also had a steady string of releases as a solo producer on labels such as Traxx Underground, Quintessentials, Kai Alce's NDATL, as well as a standout appearance on "Coloring Lessons Volume n°2", which also featured Barbie Bertisch, Musclecars, Toribio, Ian Friday and more.

Making his return to the label with a full solo EP, the Detroit DJ/producer turns in five original house tracks with a bonus remix from Brooklyn's Toribio, known for his BDA party and his work as the brains behind Conclave (Love Injection Records). From the opening track "House Grammy", produced in collaboration with label heads Musclecars, through to the closing remix from Toribio, the release is a display of soulful yet hard-hitting, groove-driven house of the highest order.
