Prism Sentence with Normen Hood

Swiss scene stalwart Normen Hood drops a new single on Gun Raven that comes with a remix from R.EK.

Normen Hood is one of the core artists who have helped Gun Raven become a new school techno favorite. Marshall White, Swim the Shine, and Juli Lee have also released music here, and techno titan Timo Maas has previously remixed to great acclaim. For his part, Hood has also remixed for the label and is a mainstay of his local scene in Zurich. He has played all over the country and has also released on Endangered, Hive Audio, and Casomat, amongst others.

"Prism Sentence" starts with tense tech beats and rolling drums topped with organic hand claps, shakers, and coarse hits. It's a tribal sound that grows in tension with moody chords and expressive lead synths that bring a cosmic twist.

Remixer R.EK is a veteran DJ, producer, and promoter renowned for his unique live sets and commitment to sonic excellence. He has helped to shape his local scene as a resident at Hive Club and made an international mark on key labels. His rework is stripped back and locked in, with progressive melodies and dramatic sweeping filters that take the dance floor on an emotional ride.
