Tiki by Friendly Fire & Santi Castelle

Friendly Fire is a production project comprising Los Angeles artists Adam Auburn and LondonBridge, who also run the influential parties Day Trip and Space Yacht. Their sound straddles the line between underground roots and overground sensibility on labels like Noizu's Techne, CID's Night Service Only, and Matroda's Terminal Underground. Here, they work with fellow LA-based talent Santi Castelle, a revered music production school Icon Collective graduate for the first time on Lee Foss' South Of Saturn.

The irresistible "Tiki" is defined by a vocal loop repeating the track's title. This brings an edge to the crisp tech beats while rich bass adds serious weight down low. Add in some organic percussion, smart effects, and a kinetic groove, and you have a perfect summer sound.
