Dead Space (Farris Wheel/Sink Or Swim) and G. Felix (Desert Hearts/South Of Saturn) team up once again on Lee Foss’ hit machine imprint to deliver another robust, club-ready house release.
Title track "Trying Me", true to Repopulate Mars form, is the sort of bottom-heavy house that is engineered for the dancefloor but it’s the track’s disco piano and string flourishes and sultry vocals that mark it out as a hit-in-the-making.
"Get In Tune" takes a darker, heavy-hitting approach where the bassline morphs, twists and bends throughout, even taking on drum and bass levels of growl at points. Offsetting the low-end heft is, yet again, another stellar vocal that creates a moody but soulful vibe.
