Italian artist Withoutwork cut his teeth as a musician before moving into the world of electronic music, adopting a style rooted in a minimal-leaning tech house. Following recent drops on CUFF, Material, and Happy Techno Music, September welcomes a first appearance on Lee Foss' Repopulate Mars for the budding DJ & producer as he readies his three-track "Go Baby EP."
"Go Baby" opens the EP armed with flickering drum licks and off-kilter synths combined with lush Spanish guitar motifs and a rapped vocal to take things to the next level before "I'm Going Solo" sees pop-infused vocals front and center accented by laser-like synths and low-slung grooves. Rounding out the release, "El Matador" is an ode to Spanish rhythm, drawing for powerful bass licks, chunky drums, suspenseful builds, and heavenly Latin vocals.
