Todd Terry returns with a new multi-continental collaboration with Estonian DJ Janika Tenn and West Coast vocalist Lee Wilson.
After more than 1000 productions and 1600 remixes, no one has done more to shape the sound of house music than New York's Todd Terry. Ever since the 1980s, he has been exploring every facet of the sound from deep to vocal to soulful to hip-hop influenced. He remains as prolific now as ever, with much of his music coming on his InHouse label, which is also home to the likes of Roland Clark, Jocelyn Brown, and Black Riot.
As Terry continues to tour the globe and play over 80 shows a year he is always making new musical connections and that plays out with this latest single: Janika Tenn is making her own contemporary mark playing clubs like fabric and Space and releasing on top labels such as Cr2, while Lee Wilson's voice can be heard on plenty of chart-topping house hits having worked with big names like Kenny Dope as well as Todd.
Together they cook up real house brilliance on "I Give You Love," which is a heartfelt vocal track with bright, summery synth work. It has plenty of great hooks, a standout melodic bassline, and classic piano chords filling out the mix as the slinky drums lock you in below. The production glows with real warmth, and the crossover appeal is huge as Wilson's vocal is primed and ready to be sung loud at clubs and festivals all over the world.
