Tommy Bones came up in the New York scene of the 90s and brings plenty of the magic of the era to his work. He heads up the House of Bones label and has dropped his own wares on the likes of NRK, Dopewax, and Origin Rcds over the years, all while laying down his own classy sets across the underground circuit.

First up is "Shouldna," a deep-cut and slow-burning house track that is perfect for rattling the walls of a warehouse. The twitchy synth details zip about the mix next to more wild and spraying pads. Despite being stripped back it has an all-consuming atmosphere and ghoulish vocal sounds that keep dancers locked. The fantastic "Dub Style" is more driving but no less profound. Here, Detroit-style chords light up the dubbed-out drums and unfold in mesmerizing patterns next to dusty hi-hats and occasional vocal stabs.
